I was hoping someone here could offer up some info on this Stingray I. It has two signatures on the neck, one appears to be Andy written in pencil and another written in ink. I would like to know who built this one. Any ideas?

Thanks.

EBMM probably doesn't have records of those Leo-era guitars, who the employees were at that time, etc.

You might also post this over at the G&L forum (guitarsbyleo.com). As it worked back in that era Leo Fender owned a separate company called CLF Research that actually built the guitars and basses for Music Man. After he left Music Man Leo designed the G&L guitars and basses and built them in the same CLF Research factory - so for a couple of years both lines were built simultaneously. Eventually the contract for CLF Research to build the Music Man instruments was severed and Leo Fender renamed the factory "G&L Guitars". Some of the folks over at the G&L forum have contacts with the old-timers from the factory.
