Stingray Neck Dimensions (Fretless vs. Fretted)

I'm currently renting a fretless EBMM Stingray 4 to work on my skills while I wait for the fretless bass I have on order with Ernie Ball to arrive. I must say that I am really enjoying this bass. However, I did notice that the neck thickness of the fretless SR4 is noticeably thinner than my 2001 fretted Ray. I think this fretless is of a similar age. Can this be possible? If so, why?

I'm just curious because I'd like to know what kind of neck thickness to expect from the one I have on order.
