Hi *,

does Ernie Ball sell the necks serparatly? I have a Stingray 3EQ in Honey Burst. I would love to get a Roasted Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard so that it "matches" the 2012 PDN's but for me with a "better" body...

Sorry, the PDN order window ended some time ago. You also can't buy an individual neck but they will sevice your neck :)

Stops random basses being out in the wild I guess :)

Helps to ease the stress of purchasing S/H EBMMs, Not like the other manufacturer whose forums are always clogged up with questions like "Is this P or J bass genuine"....

What do you mean by service your neck ?

Like for like if damaged or say "I want this new model but with a SLO profile neck etc etc"
As was thinking, just thinking, about what work goes into (apart from a lot) in the process of slimming a neck down, and also who do I look to for getting the work done, apart from a local somebody? as in this situation as neck swap would be the simplest way to go about it,

If you want your neck altered in profile, you would most likely have to have it custom done. EBMM uses CNC machines for most of the roughing out and a lot of the finer work on their guitars. There is most likely no way to have a different profile put on the neck after it is made.

As for getting a PDN neck from a discontinued PDN series to put on a non PDN bass, I don't think that will happen. The PDNs are packages that go together, and in many cases are tested together.
