Anyone have both or know what the difference, if any, would be between the pickups on these two guitars?

thanks!

The Albert is a 5 position so you get the inner and outer coil sounds. Stingray is normal 3 way. Not sure about sound diff cos I don't own a stingray

You're welcome. :)

btw, they are very helpful and are the only ones who can really answer your question....

I would like to be frustrated here but I know you are right. I think that speaks a lot to the quality of this company.

While CS can give you exacts, I believe the AL HH pups are the same as the Axis/Axis Super Sport, semi hot/high output where the stingray is designed for a more classic mid range out put not as hot as the AL.

So I can't attest to the AL pickups but I own a Stingray and they are really quite nice. If it's true that the AL has the same pickups as an axis, I've played quite extensively a Game Changer Reflex, and the are definitely lower output than those, but more balanced. I find that the Stingray has a similar tone to early EVH with his frankenstrat. Where the reflex is a little scooped with an "airy" mids.
