I have recently purchased a second hand (about two year old) stingray. It is fantastic and the best guitar I have owned. It has however developed a buzzing at medium to high volumes which is an earthing issue - when you touch the strings or bridge or jack input it stops. I have obtained a wiring diagram which indicates that the earthing wire goes from jack input to bridge but have also been told that it could be anywhere in the wiring of the guitar. I have tried with different leads and a different amp so am fairly sure it is the guitar - any opinions or advice or help on how to cure this would be very much appreciated
thanks

to be honest I dont know if it has developed since I got it as the first time I noticed it was at the first practice I used it at when the volume was loud enough for it to be heard - it is not audible at low volumes but it does happen at home at loud volumes - I have changed leads amps etc so I am pretty sure it is the guitar - I read an earlier thread that suggested running a lead from the volue pot to a screw on the scratch plate - this does seem to have some small effect but not cure the problem. I appreciate that this is probably quite difficult to comment but any ideas would be gratefully received

it sounds like a ground wire somewhere.

if it was your house, othe rinstruments would do it.

odds are, someone was in there ****ing with things, and pulled the ground wire(the black that goes from the input to the bridge.

bring it to a guitar shop and have them look at it.
