The body has the much reported 80's Polyurethane "soft & coming off" issue.

I apologize for that quote. In my excitement of getting the bass, I based that statement on what I could find on the internet on the finish issue my bass has. I found a few statements about the the finish issue and stupidly worded it incorrectly. I have fixed that initial post.
Thank you for pointing that out, as well as all the other fantastic comments about the bass. It was a super find, and I am very lucky. It's getting a LOT of play time.

It keeps staring at me too! I can't stop playing it!!!
Maybe it's the skunk stripe neck that gets me as well. Fingerboard and neck the same piece of wood. Outstanding! Thank you all for the bass compliments again!

I have played this bass every day since I first posted this. It is fantastic! When I raced home with it the day I bought it from craigslist, my wife said it was "ugly". 2 days ago, she called it my "girlfriend".
