When I slap my stingray, especially the E and A strings I get a a pop...but in a bad way. It sounds like the pickup is being hit or something, its hard to explain. It doesnt sound good. Anyone know what Im talking about?

Check the space between the strings and the pickup. Lower the pickup might do the trick. Also check the action of the strings. Could be that you need to apply too much force for slapping.

However, if you hit the strings on the pole pieces of a single H StingRay which is set up according to the specs, you really need to look into your technique. Generally by slapping you just slightly punch the string against the highest fret, and that should not give so much string excursion that you will hit the pole pieces.

Aye that will be the strings hitting the pole pieces most likely, try lowering the pickup a little, either that or you are being VERY enthusiastic with your slapping, or maybe you're slapping a little too close to the pickup.
