I had the opportunity to play through an Ampeg rig last night at a friends rehearsal studio. It was a SVT 4 Pro head with a 6 x 10 and 1 x 15 Classic cabs. What a difference from my Hartke rig. I could never get my bass' EQ settings set to a tone that I liked. I know a lot of you guys like Ampeg, but I couldn't ever get the muddy sound to go away, but it was probably just me. I know that Ampeg turns out a good product. I was really looking forward playing through that rig, but I'll stick with what I have and what I know.
