Hi

I am new to the forum and this question may have cropped up before. I have a 2005 limited edition cream stingray which I purchased new because of that great stingray sound but it appears to be getting harder and harder to get a good sound out of it. I took it to a recording session the other week and it sounded distorted so I changed the battery but little seems to have improved.

It is as it came out out the factory but I cant seem to get much bottom end out of all four strings. If I try to add bass on the guitar controls the E string becomes too bassy yet the other three seem still too thin. The sound is very zingy, I 'm not playing thundering deep regae lines bit I find I am having to roll all of the top off and most of the mid.

I am using a Peavey T Max Combo with a 1x15 Blackwidow. I have now stopped using the Ray and using a Warwick but I want to get the stingray back to normal.

Am I doing something fundamentally wrong.

First and foremost....Welcome!

You will hear everybody say time and time again to call EBMM Cust Service. They are awesome and take great care of the customer. From what I have heard....typically, they can help you troubleshoot over the phone or refer you to the proper dealer/service center.

Unfortunately, I don't have the number, but I know it is readily available and I am sure that someone will provide it in a later post.

Now....dump the Warwick!!! hahaha
