Hi all,
I've recently got hold of a beautiful '79 'ray that I've been lusting after for tooo many years.
On getting it home and having a twang, I noticed the action was a little high and the neck quite dished, so I decided to give the trusrod a tweak. It was at this point I found the bullet adjuster hole is rounded out!! No adjustment available and no nice low action how I like it.
So I emailed Ernie Ball's customer service and Scott replied saying the bullets are now obsolete (!!) and they have non left in stock. I've tried a few UK retailers and either get "we'll have to order them in." or "Can't get em anymore mate."
I'm guessing the former will find out the latter when they enquire about them.
So, does anyone have any idea where I can get a replacement bullet from?? It's ridiculous that this superb bass could be consigned to the scrap heap for want of a small "obsolete" part. I'm desperate... please help me!!!!
