Hey guys, I wanted to get word out to help my friend Tyler to recover his JP6. We literally ordered the same guitar from the same dealer in the same configuration. He ordered his with JP Shield Inlays, so that's the only difference.

His car was broken into during one of his shows in Baltimore, they stole his guitar, GPS, and iPod. He's filed a police report and me and him are calling every Guitar Center and Pawn Shop we can in the morning, please keep an eye out and see if anyone in that area can spot it. Just in general keep an eye out, we appreciate it.

The Serial # is G70591

Thanks guys, keep him in your prayers and let's hope that this finds it's way back to him. It's upsetting when anyone gets anything stolen, but to steal from a musician is easily one of the worst things to do.

Damn, that's a serious bummer :(
Very sorry to hear about the stolen gear and I agree, an instrument is very personal. Hope it makes it's way back to the rightful owner quickly!!!

It is really upsetting that someone would hurt a musician who is upcoming and works hard for these instruments. I can't imagine being in his position, but he's composed and hopeful that it'll be found. Thanks Sterling, that means a lot, is it possible to send a PSA to the dealers and Guitar Centers in case it gets sold into a store?

I'm sorry to read the news about the stolen JP6. I'll keep my eye out for it. You don't see too many all rosewood white pearls, so perhaps this one will stand out in a classifieds or pawn shop nearby.

You guys familiar with Snagg - which is basically what's used to "chip" animals?

Have them in almost all my guitars (not the in the cheap guitars though :) )

Sorry to hear this that truly sucks and I have been done this road had one stolen a couple years ago.

I sure hope you have filed the police report already not sure in Maryland but in Texas all pawn shops must report items to the police.

I was able to recover mine due to that law and good police work. Good Luck

Does your friend have Home Owners, Renters or Full coverage car insurance? Depending upon his policy (or that of his parents) he could file a claim. I have had success doing this.

I work downtown and there are a couple of pawn shops within a few blocks of my office, it looks like a beautiful day for a walk this afternoon... thieves suck.

I hit three pawn shops close to me this afternoon. The first was closed, the second only deals in jewelry now and the third had a couple of Squires, a Danelectro and a couple of Yamaha acoustics. I know it was a long shot, but wanted to check them out.

Good luck in your search.

If this doesn't get recovered perhaps we could take up a collection to help replace it for him? I would be willing to donate some money toward a good cause!

EDIT: I apologize if this breaks forum rules, I just would like to help!
