This one is on the bay. Oli said it looks fishy...maybe because the serial in the bridge pic is the same as his...

100th Anniversary NAMM MusicMan StingRay Bass - eBay (item 150222675970 end time Mar-15-08 09:14:04 PDT)

Here's a link to Oli's serial # request...see posts 1802 and 1806 in particular...

Looks like someone might be trying to sell a NAMM anni using pics of Oli's bass instead of the bass they are selling.

No, actually, that seller is selling my bass which is on the way to him. I traded it for another bass. It looked fishy to me becaue he used my pics, and I didn't know the trader was going to put it on eBay right away and I didn't know his eBay handle.

However, there's another action on a NAMM bass right now from Germany. It says to be #98 of 100.

The only good thing is the NAMM bass is very rare and not hard to spot due to the colour, neck, NAMM inlay, etc.

It's like stealing art. Nice to look at in the privacy of your own home, but who the hell (or how) are you going to sell it?

It will turn up.

yeah man keep an eye on ebay at all times, and every time you see one ask for the serial number or something. They're pretty rare and my guess is whoever stole it isn't going to want to hang on to it for too long.

Thanks for all the info everyone, yes these are quite easy to spot thankfully. Unfortunitely this bass was stolen just after I purchased it from Bass Central in 2001. I filed a police report and notifiyed Beaver at Bass Central. I also emailed a few of the bigger online sellers to be on the lookout. I should have also notified everyone here at Ernie Ball as well. Hopefully some day it will pop up but I don't know how realistic it will be even if it does that I'll actually be able to get it from that person. I'm not giving up though. Thanks again.

There is a sticky thread up top that might be a good place to put this info. This thread will probably roll off the first page pretty quickly, but the info will up there for all to see.

Thanks for the offer Jeffery, I've got other basses to play but some day I hope to recover my stolen bass. If it's meant to be it will happen.
