OK listening to SHRED on the EBMM station, awe yeah baby! Anyway JP and Rudess' Hang 11...is the acoustic tone from his JP with the piezo...if so I need to get me one :D

Yeah thats the piezo, and the album that song is from is An evening with John Petrucci and Jordon Rudess, he switches between electric and piezo through the album/performance.

Scott.

Thanks bro, now I needs to gets me one of them...shredding with acoustic tones, awe man I just creamed meself :D

It reminds me of the time I first read LOL! I was chatting with a lad from down under and he kept on using LOL, so I said, "Dude, I don't mean to offend but is that some Australian lingo your piping out there matey?" and he replied, "What do you mean?" "LOL I said, WTF does it mean?"...so as you can see I am a little green in the internet lingo :D

I meant to mention that you DO want the piezo option on you EBMM. Sorry I held that back from you.

Where's my head? :p

piezo's sound like they'd be awesome but from what I've read it sounds like people agree that they dont sound so cool out of a guitar amp and keyboard/bass amp or PA is the way to go ... if this is true what amp do you piezo-havin folk use when jsut practicing at home? a second amp?

TruDat
Any acoustic/ keyboard amp or a PA will work great. It's having the 2 different sounds that rocks so much.
I have a crown ce1000 beherenger mixer with some effects and a coupel of JBL 15" 2ways. I need a PA to play my backing tracks when I gig anyway so I kill two stoned birds that way. ;)

I normally run mine through a PA, l couldn't be bothered lugging around another amp.
