College of Music and Fine Arts to announce new jazz program on Monday, April 2 - Loyola University New Orleans

The Thelonius Monk Institute of Jazz Performance is moving to Loyola, where I teach. I'll be producing the video and webcast of the event. Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Terence Blanchard will all be performing.

Leaving LSU or the area? I'm actually on the road most of the time. My wife developed a taste for Austin during our Katrina refugee days. So it's back and forth along I-10 for me.
