I have recently bought a Stingray (first ever... yiew!) and in the course of playing it in I came across a very strange phenomenon:
For some strange reason, when I fret the 9th fret on the A string and play the 8th fret on the G string I get an incredibly loud buzzing sound. (Similar sound to regular fret buzz, but on an extreme scale.) It only occurs when I fret these two particular notes and play the G string - no other combination of notes causes the same result.
Has anyone had this same problem? Can anyone explain this to me? I am not entirely ignorant about setup, etc., but I can't think of a reason for the buzz.
