Are these strings authentic?

Recently, I purchased a couple of 8-string Slinky sets. They came wrapped in a transparent plastic bag. Inside, there was a printed label on paper and each of the 8 strings was placed inside an individual envelope.

I've purchased many types of Ernie Ball strings over the years (M-Steel rules!), but this is my first time buying an 8-string set. I've never seen Ernie Ball strings packaged in a transparent bag before.

When I opened the package, there was a slight smell, similar to solvents—possibly from the ink on the paper inside. The printed sheet with branding had nothing on the back—no package number. The individual string envelopes also looked slightly less red than usual.

The string itself also feels like it has a bit more friction to the touch.

So I have a doubt: is this a new way of packaging Ernie Ball strings, or are these possibly fake?

I purchased the strings on Amazon, directly sold by Amazon.

Attached are some pics of the strings.

Hola! I have not seen EB strings in that style packaging before. But your best bet is to reach out to Ernie Ball customer service and ask them directly. if you have difficulty getting in touch with them let me know.
