Hi i've just received my Axis Super Sport from the US and i've got to say it's absolutely superb, the neck is amazing not to mention the pickups.
Only problem is i'm getting a bit of a buzz/rattling on the low E and slightly on the A and D strings.
I've not really got much experience with this kind of thing and was really after a bit of advice,I thought the truss may need tweaking possibly if so is that something an amateur could handle?
I was hoping it would be easily remedied as getting to the local guitar shop is a bit of a hassle this time of year, plus i'd like to expand my knowledge on this kind of thing.
Any advice welcome.

Cheers

Congrats! Sounds like the truss rod needs a bit of a tweak. Read the FAQ or do a search on the site- you probably need to loosen it a tad.

Oh, and of course we'll need pics :)

I'll give the FAQ a read tomorrow, though I don't think the shop has sent me the allen key unless there's some sort of secret compartment in the case.
It's not so bad anyway, the buzz isn't coming through the amp so it hasn't hampered my enjoyment.

You don't need any special tools, though an allen key which fits into the wheel hole will do nicely, as will a small screw driver, or even a nail. The wheel is hardened steel (or brass?) so you won't booger it up. Fantastic feature of Balls. You don't even have to loosen the strings. Should take all of 15 seconds. Just a 1/4-1/2 turn counter clockwise on the wheel should do it.

And congrats!

Cheers i'm going to give it a go over the weekend.
Should I give it a 1/4 turn the leave it a few hours and if needs be turn it another 1/4?
I also forgot to metion the high e string,it's quite close to the edge of the neck and can come over the side with some intense vibrato,is this common with all these guitars or does it need adjusting?

Thanks

not really, if you turn you should be able to see effects (just check relief with the first fret/ last fret trick or sth). If you still need to turn further just do it

So your saying even if I got a full setup done it wouldn't affect the e string that's just the way the guitar is?
Anyone got any neck pics of their Axis so I can compare mine?
I used to own a Fender Mustang the had a very slim neck and the same thing would happen with the e on that,I suppose after a bit more playing on it i'll get used to it.

Cheers
