....ok, so BP don't get pi$$ed at me but Steve does like D'addarios(he does use Slinks as well and didn't exclude them)..... but we all know what strings pay the bills here, that aside it is a great vid.

better yet...

hey

why not a vid with BP or other suitable EB employee showing us how to do a string change ?

Instead of competitor strings on a competitor's guitar with poor camera work a MM guitar, EB strings, better photograhpy, sticky the post, and Bob's your uncle.

We'd love to here at OVRDRVN.COM! :D
besides, the bass restring is with a BONGO and Slinkys...
as for the camera work comment.... hmmm..... in your 60hr work week w/family time and gig time being squeezed in and around that, what have you filmed using just a crappy hand held and iMovie for editing to help some unsuspecting kids out there who don't know the first thing about their guitars?... thought so

Me too... hehehhe,
Steve really is an encyclopedia of repair, and other crap for that matter. He was one of the main guys at Ibanez UK before moving back here to Canada and is funnier,as you can tell from the guest voice-over, than all get out.
YES, I do agree that the asthetic to "Ovrdrvn" is lo-fi but that's the point.... that's all we got! :D besides, it retains a nice Wayne's World-esqueness to it :p
also, Pack-Rat, sorry if I came off too harsh, I totally see your point but you gotta know a little bit of the background too. anywho.... the bass string change will hopefully be up soon as well as some more VERY interesting stuff........ rhymes with aRue and begins with an "L" :D
also... maybe some shots of the "Telly Savalas" Bongo neck.

thanks for taking the time though to watch the clips guys!

Please, don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to come off over-critical and crass.
I did, I apologize.

I'm all for tips and tecnique and sharing the wealth

I found the second one posted:

[
had me laughing and was much better, "Gorgeous - like a wedding"

Perhaps I should have said: How about more instructional videos about string changing and guitar maitenance and care from EB that could be posted on ernieball.com ?

BTW where was it filmed ? (store ?)

Hoorah for Ovrdrvn!

I say "hats off" to anyone that does something to either educate or entertain. But I'll sing "76 trombones" to anyone that does something that educates AND entertains. Three cheers to ovrdrvn.com and all who sail in her.

Peter,

I know I joked about this clip in another thread, but I really think it's a cool thing to do, and a great resource for players. Keep up the good work.

(well, except for the D'Addario part... :D :D good thing BP is friendly with Jim D'Addario!)
