This is probably a pretty dumb question,
but my 76/77 Ray has been missing the entire string mute assenbly since I acquired it. I would like to try and restore that hardware, if possible. I Need the metal sprung peices that hold the pads and the knurled knobs that screw it all to the bridge....
I would imagiine a lot of these parts were dumped by players over the years, so they're probably impossible to get, but if anyone knows anything, or has some parts.... I'd be over the moon.
thanks
Chris

Yeah like Gav says, they rarely pop up anymore nowadays. Last set that was on ebay went for 50 bucks and that was still without the thumb screws. A complete '78-'80 string-through bridge with the mute pieces just sold last week for about 178. Yikes!

It's too bad lots of people just threw stuff like that away. I got lucky a couple years ago, I was looking for one and someone gave me theirs.

Good luck in the search.
