Hello all,
Im a regular over at the bass side of the fence but I come in search of help. I've had this little problem, off and on I like to drop tune to play Mudvayne and System of a Down stuff. They both drop to C (CGCFAD). I used to play 9's and that didnt work. I currently have 10's and that helps when I use drop D. But going down to C is like playing a freaking rubber band. What gauge strings would you suggest? I go from Drop C to E Standard on the same guitar on a regular basis. I would just like at least a semi-taught E/C string when I drop tune. Any suggestions? Of course I play Ernie Ball, so which of those would you suggest? Thanks a bunch.
