As well as the saddles it's worth mentioning the holes in the trem baseplate where the strings enter through the bridge.I had a guitar once that even after numerous replacement saddles was still breaking strings around the bridge..I rubbed the aformentioned hole edges with emery and the problem was solved.Also I belive Stevie Ray used to put plastic wire sleeving through his baseplate string holes for the same reason..
