Ok, guys.. I don't know much about strings, but I'm sticking with my choise, simply because I'm used to them.

But here's the Q.. There's rumors out there that it exists strings for both acoustic and electric guitars, that have a special ring to them.. After one song played, the strings are useless, cause the "sound" it was made for suppose to be gone..
Is this true??

nah, I don't know if it were ONE song lasting exactly 2 minutes and 42 seconds... but they said strings that were made to have that special ring to them for a very short time, and then be useless for its purpose..
But yeah, it all sounded fishy.. but it wouldn't surprise me at all. Had to ask tho :p

Well, every set of strings sounds brightest immediately after changing and then gradually lose the brightness as they wear. Maybe somebody has a set of strings that dull really fast and then sound like crpa and they're applying a bit of "creative marketing" to sell 'em? :p
