I use the BS66, Billy Shehhan signature set on a Yamaha Attitude LTDII, sound great! but, the tension of these strings are hi!! The brightenss remains for loong time.

I use in my SR5 and SR Ernie Ball strings.

I tried them on my SR5 and did not like them at all. The tension is to high for my taste and they seemed hard to intonate. I love the DR round core strings (highbeams or sunbeams) and I have also heard great things about TI superalloys, but I haven't tried them yet.

got my last pack about fifteen years ago- they used to be the rage. It took them forever to settle down and thump. I wasn't too crazy about the way they sounded fresh but I remember those that replaced them every week or so.

I used them, great for rock, stay bright for a long time. Not that good for slap due to high tension in the string and they can chew your fingers up if you play heavy.

Yup. I've got Rotosound Nickels on my Bongo and an SR5. Nice high tension. Stay bright a long time. Cheap. Nice sound.

EB Slinkys on my Rays, and Jazz basses. I'm in the market for a 62 reissue P-Bass, and I'lll put flats on that. I don't really like the idea of low tension TIs. Anybody use EB flats? Opinions?

I have a rotosound on my bass, only because it was that or nothing. I think it sounds too tinny, so will be getting a new set of EB's soon.

What is so great about Rotosound? There's always someone going on about them. What's the deal? I've never used 'em...

I Don't like the Rotosounds too "irregulars" sometimes came fresh other times came dead... Better go with LaBella hard Rocking Steels if you are looking for that sound...

in my case, I prefer either D'Adddarios or DR LowRiders on my STERLING...

IMHO - nothing is great about them.

I use Elixir, Ashdown Wide Boy Fatties, or Elites Statdium (all stainless).

Tried ROTOs onxce - didn't like 'em. Have only ever gone back to them if there's nothing else.

Ashdowns are rotosounds.
