Dont get alarmed at this pic! I have since taken all the tape off my Axis!

The other guitarist in one of my bands Rough Justice bought a £150 POS Kramer that was all striped up Eddie style. This guitar really was bad! The Floyd refused to stay in tune, the pickups were microphonic and the wiring was dodgy. We ribbed him so much about 'Stripey' as we christened it, he went away and spent a whole load of money on getting it fixed up! About £600 to be precise! Anyhow, last nights gig was Stripey's debut, and we all decided to stripe up for the occasion! Both the bass player and I did it as a suprise, and we even striped up mic stands and monitors! We had a great time!!

That looks really cool :D

I'm glad that the guitar is okay now, even though I think that 600 is a lot of money for something like that...

Burn that Ed Roman shirt!!

Hey Jon, what's the deal with that Ed Roman guy? I've been to his website, he seems like a strange fellow with very intersting opinions and a lot of guitar makers revolving around him. There was a reference to him in some other thread recently that I didn't get as well. Does he have a particular reputation around here?

Sorry for hijacking the thread....

i will say this about roman. he is a dumbass when it comes to saying stuff about ebmm and how this guitar and that are better then a ebmm. i will say though i have bought some stuff from him and he is a strange person and kind off a ass but his poeple were very nice. i have no business problems with them but i dont like that the site dogs so many other guitar companys. i hate when people do that. i dont get dogged over here guys i have alot of the olp axis copies. just because you are selling the competion dosent mean dog the others. so i can see where jon dosent like ed much cause he talks out his butt when it comes to ebmm. like i said i have had no problems with them business wise though and have had a neck twist on me and they fixed it no questions. funny he says mean things about ebmm cause his lsr is a exact copy of the ebmm evh but headless.

She prefers the hard cold floorboards!

When I was in Ed Romans shop in August, I wanted to meet Ed, just for comedy purposes, but he stomped past me mouthing off about something to a poor kid who wanted to buy a guitar from him. Interesting customer servicd approach! Mind you he had more guitars than I had ever seen in my life!

I would think the same about Mr. Roman even if I didn't work for EB/MM. I won't digress and tell you what an asshat I think he is...Damn...I just did, didn't I? :D

I'm sure it's all good with him...I just recently put a new neck on one of Kims Super Sports, so he is hooked up also. :D

BTW I spoke with
Kim on the phone, and he seems to be a really cool guy in addition to being a great player.

Huh? Can you dumb it down for me? :)

(also, you're right-Kim cooks and he's got a great sense of humour!)

I can't just go and find a neck/body etc and take it. Tomas has a role in the companies production planning, and can do the paperwork involved to do things like that.

+1. then burn the thing it's sitting on. roman's a bloody looney toon.

and I'd like to formally thank Jon for the term, "Asshat." I greatly needed a perfectly fitting term for crazed old looney toons who run their mouth when they should just shut up and count their money. oh. I said that out loud.
