SUB-1 Pickup question

I want to get a coil tap put in my SUB-1, but I'm just wondering if the stock PUPS are splitable, or do I have to look at some aftermarket PUPS. I really like the stock ones, but might just want to change things up a bit. Any advice?

Take a peek at the wiring under the pickguard. That should clue you in.

Yeah, look at the pickup and see if it is 2 wire or 4 wire. If it has 4-wires, you can add a coil tap. Otherwise, I think you have to get another pickup.
