I've had my SUB-1 for a little bit now. I had it setup at the Music Barn in Greensboro NC and it now plays great. I simply love the stock pickups. I've always tended to stick with single coils for clarity and treble bite. These humbuckers are amazing! Such clarity and tone through my Palomino V32 amp.

The poplar body is so resonant. I can see why the Morse model uses it. I've always tended to lean towards a tele body style, however, the SUB's body is tele like with no body contours and the weight is not too light or heavy. The textured paint is great. No worries about smudges or fingerprints!

I've always avoided trem bridges until now. The music man vintage bridge is awesome. It is so much better than the "F" modern 2 point trem that was on a Big Apple "S" I had years ago.

Thanks Big Poppa for making these affordable guitars!:)

Congratulations

Like you I was not fond of trem bridges, but the SUB changed my mind. The MusicMan trem bridge is really a great design.
All the stuff with no fluff .... you are right !

Just got my new Sub yesterday and it rocks! You're right the pickups are killer. Especially love the neck pickup. I am thinking of getting another and giving it the SSS treatment-I love single coils too!
