SUB Love

I hear a lot about the joys of MM's SRs and Bongos but hear little from SUB owners. I'm the proud owner of a SUB4 and it's an awesome bass. I reject the notion that is a "poor man's" stingray. It's a unique intrument in its own right. I would like to hear from other SUB owners as to why they love their SUBs. After all. there is enough MM love to pass around.

I picked up a SUB 5 for a friend of mine who was getting back into playing bass. It's the passive version and I couldn't believe how great it played. I'm thinking I'll probably get one someday just to have a passive bass in my arsenal. I used his for 2 hours at a recent rehearsal at our church and really liked it. Not as zippy or punchy as a SR5 but def has an old school sound to it and the neck was really nice.

i own a passive sub4. i bought it because im a cheap ass and cant afford to buy batteries it still has a killer rolling sound

i love my SUB 4, and loved it right from when i first tried it in the shop...it just felt, played and sounded perfect, particularly after playing some sub-standard basses, some of which were more expensive...

the SUB isn't a stringray wannabe, its a SUB. Period.
