On ebay, it seems that Sub's are starting to recieve more monentary respect. This same time last year, it was common for them to be stolen for $300-400, sometimes even less. Now i am seeing them up to $500, and even found a Sub bass starting at $600.

My question is, do you guys think this trend will continue?

The SUBs are really good guitars, but I think they'll always go for less than the Silhouettes and Axes (and Axes Super Sport...sound funny to say that way) of the world. I don't think SUBs will go much beyond $600 in the forseeable future (and even that seems pretty high) - once they attain "vintage" status in 20 years or so, who knows?

I had a couple of HH hardtail SUB1s which were about the most common combo.I'm regretting letting em both go but watching a single pup job with trem at the moment.
I sold my last SUB1 the week the announcement was made they were being discontinued. So I put that up in my description.anyway SUB1 listings on ebay uk appeared after mine copying my text and hiked the prices up:mad:
prices are higher than they were 6 months ago but they seem to have settled a little.
cant see a SUB1 ever commanding more money than a Silo 24 fret or Special but......

Logic dictates that they will probably at best get to a couple of hundred quid below a Silo special. Why would you spend the same money on a "budget" model, even if it is discontinued, when you could get a premium model for a bit more. Who?...only a yoghurt!

Give it 20 years then they will be considered classics anyway! HOLD ON TO YOUR SUBS!!

..unless someone wants to make a ridiculous offer on mine ;)

I love my SUB 1, I think they were very
undereated, you can get a thick L*S P***
sound out of them for a fraction of the $$$$$!

I think it's like anything else. If people want it they will pay for it, but just depends how badly they want it.

I've been keeping my eye on the Sub's for a while and they seem to be floating anywhere from $300-$800. But some of those include a hardshell case.

Go SUB Go!!! ;)

I absolutely love mine!

Definitely +1 on that. I've got a great tele and was playing it the other day, after I did some work on the brass saddles and lowered the action a bit, replaced the nut too, really a nice player. Then I picked up my blue HH Sub hardtail, and Holy Cow!!, fell in love with it all over again. It just totally puts my Tele to shame. I actually like this Sub 1 more than the 24F Silo I had, it plays better. My other HH sub with trem is in the closet in it's hard case, still has the plastic on the pickguard. Hopefully the prices will appreciate considerably over time. I just love the heck out of the neck and fretboard on this Sub HT.
