I have a SUB Sterling, and was thinking about getting a new pickguard for it... I know the SUB5 uses a different pickguard than the SR5, but I *think* the SUB Sterling uses the same pickguards as the EBMM Sterling does... Does anyone here know for sure???

Here it is - it's a later model with the compensated nut:

well I do know the SR guards fit the SUB........so I would assume that the Sterling guard should fit your Sterling SUB

very nice looking bass too man.

I think you're right - I also think the only reason the SUB5 is different is because it's shaped like a Classic, and not the typical SR5... and thanks, btw... I'm really digging this SUB Sterling - it has bumped a killer '08 American Standard Jazz out of my gigging rotation, since the Sterling is so light and comfy, and sounds phenominal... I'll probably set it up with a Hipshot for drop D - like the Jazz it bumped out - and change the pickguard to something a little flashier, like this:

I'm also toying around with painting my SUB5 with black textured paint, instead of the graphite color it is now, and blackening the fretboards on both - it should dress them both up a little... Here's the SUB5:
