SUB Sterling

I'm interested in getting a SUB Sterling for taking on the road with my band and stuff because I am too afraid to take my regular sterling on the road because things get dammaged easliy when your in a heavy rock/metal band. Does anyone have any pictures of SUB sterligs that I could see? Also what is your overall opinion of this bass? I would guess it is pretty similar to the sound of a regular sterling but most likely not as great... you get what you pay for. What is the weight of a sub sterling compared to a regular one? Also do regular sterling pickguards work for the SUB sterlings? Because I would want something pearloid.

Sorry if some of these questions have been asked already I searched the boards and couldn't find anything.

The Sterling is all bummed that you want to leave it when you go on the road. It wants to earn its keep. Now that I am done anthropomorphizing a Sterling bass, it isn't worth much if you leave it in the case unused. Ding that baby up and turn it into a road warrior.

Hi Patrick,

I have to agree with some of the other posts. Take your Sterling with you and play the crap out of it. Get a good road case to protect it, but unless you bought this to keep as an heirloom to be passed down, use it for the reason it was built. The only way you'll regret it is if it is just totally irreplacable. The only Sterling I know that fits that description is the original.

we thing the new intel macs are indeed faster, not as fast as they say, the benchmarks are a little misleading, but thier still faster... the problem with the intel chips is that there are more people out there who write viruses for intel chips.

I'm kinda worried about the relationship between Apple and Adobe, they're kinda on the rocks.

Pat all my basses are museum grade collector stuff, but I play them out. With reasonable care, they will hold up great. Make sure you have a true flight case if you fly and rock on brother!
