SUB Sterlings in the UK

Hello,
I want a SUB Sterling, the problem being that they are discontinued, I live in the UK, and I am not wanting to buy secondhand (online specifically, I am just not happy buying an instrument I can't see from someone I have never met...) which seems to be making this an endless search.

I was wandering if any of the UK guys knew of any shops that still have them in stock I could buy from? I have tried finding MM dealers online but nobody has been able to help me so far...

Sorry for this being a bit of a repost too, I did ask a while back and spent a while longer looking myself, with no luck, so thought I would give it another shot and see if anyone was able to help now.

Your best bet would be one of the Glasgow shops - GuitarGuitar, Merchant City Music or if you really have to - Sound Control.

One of the other shops like McCormack's or the Guitar Store might have one.

I bleeb that Simon in Cardiff guitars has got one - I'm not sure but he may even have a second hand one that is mint. Tell him you got the number from SpudMurphy with the Albert Lee - He's bound to charge you double! He's a great guy to deal with.
Yup - there's one on his web site.

No worries David, each to their own. From my experience, as long as you communicate well and study the feedback things should go smoothly. I've bought two used 'rays (one being my 30th) from across the pond and each time the transaction has been seamless. The 30th especially (Cheers Brad!).

If Cardiff Guitars say that the bass in Question is second hand from what I remember it is mint and you shouldn't be put off by the fact that it is second hand.
But hey - it's your call!!

Phoned up Cardiff, and no Sterlings left in stock, only a couple of standard SUB's

I just tried my mates shop in Bury st Edmunds and he has none - also he said there are none left on the Strings and Things list......

Have you tried the Bass Centre in London yet? Ask for Dean....

The distributors couldn't tell me of anywhere in particular that had any, only what dealers stock musicman, so after working my way down the list I found one place with one left in stock, which should be on it's way to me right now.

So cheers for all the help, and the photographic proof will be on the way when She gets here

Have you tried the Bass Centre in London yet? Ask for Dean....

I would stay well clear of the bass Centre. Unless of course you want to pay for it, wait 5 months, then be told that they dont have it in stock and wont have in stock, then ignore your phonecalls for several weeks.

The bass gallery, in london is good. musicman @The Gallery they have a SUB Sterling on their website. Give them a call.
