This is my first post to this forum as I am a new member and owner of a MM Bass. I received my first MM Bass yesterday. I was in the market for a new bass and heard a lot of great things about MM Basses. I did lots of reading on the topic and having never played a MM before I was hesitant on spending a bundle of money on an instrument that I have never played, but the buzz about how great these basses sound and play I thought it would be worth my while to take a chance and purchase one. I ended up buying an SUB, because of the price. My local music stores do not carry the MM line so I ended up ordering this bass on-line. This bass sounds great but I was wandering did I make the right decision on buying the lesser priced bass (SUB)vs the Stingray, or should I have coughed up the extra dough and purchased the Stingray. Any thoughts.

Welcome to the board.

I am sure if you like your SUB that you would also like any other MM produced bass.

There will be sound clips posted from time to time here so hang out here and have some fun with the rest of us MM lovers.

agree with tkarter, if you like SUB you would die for stingray. this is, to put simple- best sounding and looking bass in the world, and if you consider its price and what you got for the money - can not be beaten! esp. stingr5!
btw, never tried SUB, guess its nice bass. best of luck!
P.S. try stingray whenever you can so decide 4 your self!!!

I gotta tell ya, I REALLY like my SUB4, a big advantage for me being in a punk/metal band is that the finish on this thing is industructable. The only complaint I have is that the body is not tapered like a Stingray so my arm does rub a little on the front.

A big plus is now you can be part of this amazing communitee! And that is seriously no small thing. It still amazes me that the owner of the company that built my bass actually posts here. Gotts love it!
