How do they compare in feel and shape? I'm thinking of getting a Sub1 as my backup guitar. Thanks

What's your location? If you're near me and would give my sub consideration, I'd be more than happy to meet at a local GC with it so you can compare mine to a JP there.

I'd say it feels more like a silo than a JP to me. (have played them all).

I'm in SC so that's definitely a no go but thx for the offer hehe. Basically here is what I am contemplating...I need a backup guitar for live shows. I have a BFR JP6 for studio, a JP6 as my main live guitar, and I was going to get another JP6 as a back up. But instead of spending so much on a guitar that won't get used much, I'm thinking of getting a mid-range guitar and finishing off my rack system with the left over money. I'm also considering an Axis as well since I have seen them near the $800 range.

What about a Sterling JP?
