I knew it in advance and they didn't "disappoint". Well, they did of course, but that's not what I meant :p. What an abomination. Terrible "singers". I wonder if these "musicians" ever feel ashamed after a performance. They should. They probably don't, too busy counting the kind of cash they raked in. Superbowl Hallftime usually has pretty extroardinary artists, but this year was a definite low.

Nice game btw, but damn it was late/early again. 5 in the morning when I hit the sack :)

I seriously think the halftime mini concerts are going on a bit too long and interfering with the game. Christina Aguilara or however her name is spelled was simply horrid and is probably hiding under the covers after she destroyed the Star Spangled Banner. Over here in NY on every show they are blasting her, for messing up the words and leaving out lines as well as just being awful. I am not a fan but know the girl has a set of pipes and can sing, can you pick a worse time to have an off night with about a billion people watching worldwide=ouch! The Black Eyed Peas- I dont even know why they were the halftime act and as stated it sounded like a lot of screaming and over singing/rapping. It was nice to see Slash pop out for a second and, these acts today are really digging in the back catalogs as they are even rapping over Dick Dale lol. I do like Fergies voice though and think she would do better as a solo artist. I would really like to see the writing credits on their songs because when the guys sing/rap the lyrics are so bad and when Fergie sings her part it is really melodic and polished which leaves me to believe they must work with other writers, and why does every act these days need a whole dance company on stage.

Well as for the game it was a good one, and though I am a huge Favre fan congrats to Aaron Rodgers who has done nothing but conduct himself with nothing but class the last three years, and will now carve his own place in history as he has all the goods!

I didn't see Aguilera but where Black Eyed Peas are concerned they all sang like cr*p, autotune was very obvious to my ears and couldn't save the performance. It sounded to me like some of them were on occasion taken out of the mix entirely and a backing vocal track was mixed in instead to try and save the day. It was very disappointing. This years show let the whole industry down, IMO.

Prince back in 2007 was not only one of the best Super Bowl half-time shows ever, but possibly the best 12 minutes of live music ever broadcast.

A guy who was at the SB texted my friend and told him that the sound was horrible. The sound guy messed up everything....

It was interesting, I'm 20min away from the stadium and I didnt see anything of the 3-4Million people more here in Dallas, Fort Worth.

I know they've already done the SB half-time show (ten or so years ago), but I would have much preferred to see ZZ Top this year, the SB being in Texas and all...

Autotune for the guy vocals part is actually there on record, as well. Gives a sort of effect, however during Super Bowl performance was definitely "too much", especially on the first tune.

I am quite happy and content to say that I did not watch ANY of this nonsense...rocked out on my Y2D all day long with some wine. What's the big deal about super bowl anyway??? The crappy half time show I'm hearing about the past couple days? haha I prefer the way I spent that Sunday with the coolest guitar and the best girl friend without the headache those "artists" would have most certainly inflicted.
