Just put a set on my SR5 after trying about every string known to man, and its never sounded better!!!

Anyone else using Super Slinky 5s? If not you should try them.

I've done the Super thing... liked them, but I luv the Hybrid and Power Slinks. EB makes killer strings (it is kind of sad thinking back about all the money I wasted on DeanM strings because I liked the advertising - young and stupid, what can I say) - they sound great, last longer than most of the other sets I used and cost less than a tank of gas!

I have a set of SS5 waiting to go into my Active J type, but it needs a good cleaning first and I'm too lazy for that :p

I too tried some other brands on my SR5 and the bass just wasn't the same. The Regular Slinky 5 string set is just perfect for this bass. The set I have on now is actually pretty old and dead but the bass growls like a mofo!

When I bought my SR4 last year, I didn't mess around and just bought Super Slinkys to replace the factory strings which had gone dead from the bass having been on the store wall for about a year.

The EB strings are nice on the fingers but have the growl of stainless. best of both worlds in my opinion!
