Help! Super Sport Rosewood MM90 Pickups replacement

Hi everybody,

I recently bought a SS Rosewood from ebay and the owner seems that replaced the pickups for a DiMarzio DP209 and DP210 (Super Distortion P90s). They sound a bit harshy for me and I am thinking of replacing it for the originals or perhaps something less agresive and with less output.

Aren't those pickups a different shape than humbuckers?

I would look at having Ken @ Rose pickups wind you a set to your taste

Did those pickups fit in the stock pickup route? Or were the pickup cavities routed out a bit? Height is normally the issue with the aftermarket pickups.

Since the guitar already has Dimarzios installed, maybe try some Virtual P-90s?...
