So I am trying to switch the sterling pickups of my JP150 with some dimarzio, liquidfire, crunchy lab but it doesn't seem to be working...
The configuration is:
2 Humbuckers
1 Volumen with push/pull active volume boost
1 Tone
3 toggle pickup selector.
Before taking the pickups off I wrote down the wires of the pickups:
pos 1 toggle: green wire of neck pickup
pos 2 toggle: nothing
pos 3 toggle: red wire of bridge pickup
middle ground toggle: red+bare of neck pickup and green+bare of bridge pickup
I don't know if the sterling pickups are based on any specific vendor...but I assumed it could be dimarzio so I tried to solder the basic configuration of a 3 toggle, with hots(red wires) to the toggle 1 and 3 and green+bare to the ground.
But the pickups sound really low and lose output.
I have tried several wirings but I cannot manage to make it work.
I didn't touch the volume nor the tone, I just took off the wires of the toggle and soldered the new pickups.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.
