hi everybody,
I just got my Sterling 4 string bass couple days ago, its incredible, I cant stop playing it until my finger cant move anymore..haha..
but I just wondering if you guys can share with me how to use the switch (3-way lever pickup selector) on the bass? ?

Although I don't own a Sterling I think it's quite similar to the Stingray 5. I use my SR 5 in the following ways:

- Parallel mode, the swith in the position closest to the output jack:
My standard position. Works great for finger style as well as slap. You get alot of treble and a somewhat mid scooped sound.
- Middle position, single coil operation: I usually use this position for Jaco style sound, complemented with a slightly reduced treble EQ and boosted mids and lows. Also great for finger style solos.
- Serial mode, the position farthest from the output jack: Gives you a punchy sound with some of the qualities of a Precision bass. Works great for rock, pumping eighths. I don't use this mode that much as I mostly play funky jazz and jazzy funk.
