This is from the SWR website about their pro 115 cab ...

" (SWR) ... The Son Of Bertha provides the roundness and extra fullness ... speed and clarity of response make it ... a true full-range 15" speaker system"
--------

Anybody have good experience with this cab, old or new series?

Opinions on this cab as a single, mid-weight 1x15 unit for full range SR5 sounds in low volume folksinger / coffeehouse gigs (EBass backup to acoustic guitars) ??

Thanks eh?

I used to have a SOB that I used in a mini stack with a Goliath Jr 2x10. In the end I sold it to buy a Henry 8x8, and I use the Henry for big rooms and just the 2x10 for small rooms. In a mini stack scenario I found the SOB to be overkill, but in the coffeehouse situation you describe, it would be a good cab.

I liked the SOB (pre-Fndr). It is clear and punchy, adds depth without being muddy. I actually like Big Ben (1x18) with a top cab better but my SOB (and my Triad - this is a great 1 cab solutition) was great.
