Hello,

I recently bought a second-hand JP7. It is in perfect condition and I set it up to my liking without much trouble, but since it's 6 years old, maybe there's some rarely done maintenance that I should do?

I used lemon oil on the fretboard, as I do roughly once a year for my rosewood fretboard guitars.

But what about the back of the neck? What should I use to maintain it, and how frequently? Thanks in advance. :)

I use Ernie Ball wonder wipes on my guitars and have never had any issues. It works on both maple and rosewood and does a great job of cleaning and nourishing the neck. It's also super easy to use. I wipe on, let it sit to a minute or so then wipe off with a towel.

Watch this video, it will answer all of your questions.

That's exactly what I was looking for, thank you very much. :) Now I just need to find what "oil soap" and "gunstock wax" are called in the shops in my country. ;)

Can't help you there! :)

Like Stratty just said, I use Wonder Wipes on all of my guitars.... it uses orange oil instead of lemon. The Wonder Wipes are easy, cost-effective, and very good. Just something to consider. :)

Good news, I found everything on Thomann's website, they have a "Music Man Care Set" that contains oil, wax and sand paper.

Thanks for putting me on the right track. :)
