are all axis model necks the same? from the sport to the SS piezo to the EVH models? do they all have the "assymetrical carve"? the narrower fretboard? what about the PV wolfie? and the warmoth version?

anybody?

The Axis is different to the EVH re: the worn neck. The other necks are completely different with different radius, width etc

I don't know what Colin's trying to say re: "the worn neck", but afaik, the Axis neck has the exact same carve as the EVH except they widened the neck at the body end by 1/32nd of an inch to help keep the high E string on the fretboard when widdling way up there... there are greater differnces between individual necks as a result of the hand sanding during the finishing process than there are resulting from the extremely slight change made to the neck width for the Axis. I can "feel" slight differences in the neck shapes between my Axes if I try, but I don't know that there's actually any physical differences in the necks - setup (including neck relief), wear, rosewood vs. maple boards; all these factors can fool my fingers into thinking the necks are "different" even if they measured out identical spec-wise...

Wolfgang and Warmoth necks aren't even close - I don't like those necks nearly as much...
