Like the title says, please tell me about the Axis Sport:

I've got a line on a dual 'bucker honey-burst vintage trem, ash body Axis Sport ... and the last time I tried an Axis Sport was several years ago.

I tend to play lower to mid gain sounds and enjoy some cleans that tend to echo sounds of the 50s and 60s - country/rock/jazz - minimal effects and usually thru Dr Z Amps.

Any thoughts/comments/clips greatly appreciated, eh

I'm a big fan of Ash bodies

I have an Axis Sport SSS and an AL M90. Of course hearing is believing but from what you say you play/you like. I think ash is a good thing for your sound.

I think you will get that vintage vibe from the ash Axis Sport. The guitar is light and very resonant. I'd recommend to get it, you can't go wrong with an Axis Sport and many of us around here are true fan of this model.

I remember BP reporting a Jam session with an artist and start jamming with an Axis Sport, if I can find his reaction I will try to post it (but 15k post to find it is a bit too much :p)

ok I found the link http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-guitars/17967-poppa-sittin-rodney-crowell.html

I've got one in Blue Dawn and I really dig the way it sounds because it's just different from everything else! I don't usually play it for gigs because I prefer contours if I am going to play for more than 15-20 minutes. Maybe I will bust it out this weekend - either that or dump it on ebay....

Man! I love the look of those honeyburst Sports- that is a beautiful guitar. Tried to by one twice with no luck.

Personally a big fan of the Ash body. Works well with 'buckers or MM90s (what I've got). You already love the neck, so sounds like you'd be right at home with it.

Axis Sports, the lost EBMM, hahahaha.

Check out this, maybe it will help you.

I've had 3, 2 HH and 1 MM90. I personally think I like the MM90 the best.
