Tell me about this bass

I was in a music store in town and noticed three EBMM basses, which is rare here. There are only two decent music stores, and neither typically carries a lot of bass gear. They had a SR 5h, a Sterling 4 (gorgeous, you can see it next to the Ray in the pics), and a SR 4h that I'm not familiar with. The 4h has a black body with a brown headstock and full rosewood neck. Any more you can tell me about this model? The sales guy didn't seem to know much. Sorry about the poor picture quality, my Droid takes horrible indoor pictures.

There was a limited run of BFR rosewood neck instruments a couple of years back (2008 I believe?), they feel and sound fantastic. Hopefully you played it, not too many appear in the flesh, so to speak.

The neck is solid rosewood instead of maple with a rosewood fretboard.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does BFR mean?

I didn't have time to play yesterday, but will be back there today or tomorrow to give it a try.

That is a bass made of mystic wood, which is why your droid took horrible pictures of it indoors. If you would have bought it and been able to take it outside, you would have had better pictures of it.
