I think you sucked the bottom out. It sounds alright by itself, but I have a feeling it would get lost in the mix if you were playing with a band.

Well it's hard for us to tell a clear difference from a youtube clip as we all know youtube compresses sounds to a very narrow range, let's hear it in an mp3 track which you could host on a free webserver if not email it to me and I'll host it.

I give you credit for having tried a neat mod, we are all different and we should all be entitled to do what we like with our instruments, so from me: Well done. :cool:
 
This is going to be subjective, so let's not be tossing bombs or else it will go away.

I think people are welcome to do what they want to their own instruments, but if you ask for an opinion and get something you don't like or don't agree with, well - you DID ask for an opinion.

And we all know what opinions are like.

It definitely has more low mids. Has a fenderish like tone to me. Just not sure if I like of not. It does make it sound like two different basses. So if that is what you were after well done. Tone is subjective so expect every kind of answer from here.
