Okay, good test for the stingray's neck coming up...

I tweaked it a couple of nights ago after saying that I hadn't adjusted the truss rod for months. It's been 90-100% Humidity for the most part for the last week. Summer has finally arrived.

No discernable difference.

So far so good, eh? Will you be having the bass outdoors for a good amount of time anytime soon?

Nope. But this all might be a bit of a red herring.

Thinking about it, changes of this magnitude in outdoor humidity will have only a marginal effect on the neck. The real issue would be taking the instrument between places that have air conditioning and those that don't. Like going from a heated, air-conditioned rehearsal studio to playing outdoors on a cold foggy day...

Mind you, the bass was indoors all this time and may not have experienced the outdoor humidity.

Welll my luck has been every time I have played my new SR 5 in some barn or garage it has rained and felt like I was playing outside. Neck on my SR 5 has stayed just as it was the day I set it up after the TI flats. I guess I need to experience some desert playing of mine to know for sure all the aspects of it.

I sure don't see any difference in the MM bass neck moving than any other bass I have had around. Which btw has always been Fender's.
