So I finished setting up my JP6 for the first time. Neck is pretty straight, bridge is leveled, action is nice and low and the saddles match the fretboard radius. However the high E string feels a little tense/stiff if you know what I mean. It feels a tad bit weird going from the B to the E string. Any suggestions?

The tension is only due to two things - pitch and gauge. If you are tuned correctly as you would normally do and are using the same gauge strings as before it can only be at the same tension. That's just basic physics, i.e. that's how Mother Nature works.

Interestingly the high E string is actually at pretty high tension, which is why it is noticeably more difficult to bend than the B or G strings. If your overall setup is a little different now than before, you may just be more aware of this than you were before.

This is way I recommend that when doing our own setups, everybody learns how to accurately measure their preferred neck relief and string height. Makes it much easier to get back to what we like without any of the guess work.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll give it a couple of days to get used to it.
