THe secret power of the bongo is that it gets its own space in the low end world of live and recording.....it is big round but defined and doessnt mud into the kick/left hand of the keyboard.
BP, I still haven't played a Bongo 4H. Would you say this is just as true for it, as it is for the HH?
After all, the subtleties of the HHp's tone vs. the H really don't matter a heck of a lot when it's 1:30 am and the room is full of sweaty, drunken revelers, y'know?
Phat thanks...how did you get from santa cruz to Iowa? I was just in satna cruz playing at pasatiempo golf course beautiful there...also used to fo to woodies on the wharf...
but back to the BOngo.....each day someone takes the time to figure i out and that is a big reward to all of us
BP what's your take on rounds vs flats on the Bongo? And to everyone, can you regain that bite that the flats lack with the Bongo EQ?
