Sorry to start a THIRD thread on this, but...
Thank you all so much for your input in selecting my SR4. I went with the Envy Green 2 band, because I really love the finish (obviously) and the maple fingerboard. I'm a little nervous about the 2 vs 3 band, but if it has the tone I need, then it has the tone I need, and I don't do much tweaking anyway. I'm also a bit nervous about gigging with what is sure to be an incredibly collectible bass, but it is just wood, metal, and wire. I'm not buying it as an investment.
I did spend a bit of time with the HH SR4 today. I do like it, and think it's a fantastic deal, but they had no maples in stock. If they did, I may have been swayed.
Overall, though, the Envy Green was just screaming "Buy me! I'm your bass!" The sapphire black one was saying "I'll always be here if you need me."
