I have made up my mind. After doing what everyone has told me (playing different guitars at different locations) I am going to buy the axis @ the dredded GC I really appreciate everyones feedback. I do how ever have one more question for you guys. Is 1600.00 to much to pay for a amber axis w/ matching headstock? I will buy it anyway but want to know if Im getting taken. I will make sure to put plenty of pics this weekend to show everyone. Thanks again guys you really answered all of my concerns with the floyd rose question, and made me feel much more comfortable about my future purchase. You guys rock!!!

Well i guess if your in love and have the bucks go for it but. I think $1600.00 is a little steap for a "stock" guitar. If it were a discontinued color and so on maybe. I got my new silo of the rack and paid $1700.00 Can. I could have waited and got a used one for almost half that but. it's a autumn sparkle red burts with perloid pick gard and matching head.

MRM4712, dude $1600.00 I have to agree with everyone else here. I go 2 from the web and they weren't anymore that $1150.00 with the cases. There are plenty of good places out there on the web. Check out this place:

Really great to deal with and you can work on the price with them. Most of the Axes are NOS (New/Old Stock).

I have taken everyones advice and talked them down to 1050.00 for the guitar and case. Is this still too much?

MRM4712. Dude you have to look at how long the guitars been in the store. $1050.00 is a good price if it hasn't been hanging on the wall or man handled.

The other ? you have to ask is do you think it's worth $1050.00?? Sounds like a pretty good price if it's not damaged.

I don't intend to hijack the dudes thread but since we are on the subject I gotta ask.....


I ordered my Axis with a Premium Quilt Top, Matching Headstock and Tobacco Sunburst finish.

I don't have my reciept on me, it's in the car, pouring rain and I am not going out there but if I recall I think I paid somewhere near $2300.00 for it tax and all>

Of course it was GC!

So tell me, did they rape me blind or what?
