EB certainly do well with customer service even in the UK, (Strings & Things).

Ive had my problem neck plate replaced on my lovely MM Stingray 3 band EQ black w/rosewood neck. :)

Now both my MM are back on form :p

Anyway, best polish from EB?

Im thinking Wonder Wipes from Official Ernie Ball UK Store - Home

Anyone used these?

Whens this new design Albert Lee bass gonna be hitting the UK? I havent seen a Bongo as yet!

Lastly, whats the major difference in sound using a Stingray with 2 MM Humbuckers? Most bands here tend to stick with the classic one humbucker. Is there a massive following for the 2 Humbucker versions?

Cheers from the UK! :)

The Wonder Wipes are fabulous. I also have good luck using this stuff that comes in a bottle. It's called "Ernie Ball Guitar Polish".

Probably you'll get a better answer from an Official Company Person, but the Big Al will be introduced and ready for order (dealers) at NAMM this week. It will be a few months (at least, to get production up to speed) before we see these hitting Walmart....might be a bit longer for you 'overseas' peeps, but you CAN order one in just a few days, I'd think.

3. I havent seen a Bongo as yet!

What? Is that even legal?

4. Lastly, whats the major difference in sound using a Stingray with 2 MM Humbuckers?

The stock answer is something like - you can get the classic Stingray sound with the bridge pickup, but you can also add some extra stuff by dialing in the neck pickup (and combinations of both).

Glad to hear you got your neck plate sorted.

What are the wipes like for the strings?

I think the standard guitar wipes are probably what I need. Im guessing they are 100% safe to use?

They all look the same, but they do different things. The Instrument Polish wipes polish the finished wood and hardware. The String Cleaner wipes clean the strings. The Fretboard Conditioner wipes clean/condition rosewood fretboards and can be used to clean maple fretboards. They are all 100% safe to use on your guitar/bass...not sure if they are 100% safe to use on other things.

Thanks...yeah thats what I was getting at. I assumed that EB make polish that is of good quality! :)

I have all three products and they all work really well. My Instrument Polish wipes dried out a little too quickly, but they've since made changes to the formula/packaging to fix that problem.
